HIJKLMNO — a poem Terry Freedman
From the Community
HIJKLMNO - a poem Wet, windy: the weather in England is cold and grim — And it’s supposed to be Spring! That’s hard to believe — Though the daffodils are in full bloom, and Eros is stirring, Rising within us. - by Terry Freedman
—
I was particularly tickled by this poem, being a fellow England dweller. I wrote a comment on Terry’s post to say I loved it and asked if I could share it. He asked me why I loved it, and this is what I said:
I also live in England, and feel a sense of camaraderie. Not just for the absurd weather (it snowed only 2 days ago!) but the rest of the absurdity.
Eros is one of my fave Gods. Son of chaos... he is embodied chaos come creation. Nothing speaks of Spring like Eros.
He is within us - all humans are fundamentally creative. This is the premise of Co-Create and this newsletter. If we're not creating with intentionality, we are still creating, albeit chaotically.
I encourage you to read Terry’s post below 👇🏽:
AND… a bonus from Terry:
I'm not used to writing poetry, so I'm glad that people seemed to find this effort enjoyable. Now, to add (I hope) to your enjoyment, this post also contains a secret theme, to which there are three clues. Do let me know if you think you've cracked it -- all will be revealed in due course!

Trapped in IKEA — a video by SCP Explained
From the Internet
Thing number 2 of this week’s post is also somewhat inspired by Terry. On one of his recent posts (a wonderful letter to Rebecca👇🏽), he talks about the ubiquitous “IKEA Experience” which reminded me of this absurd video that never fails to cheer me up.
Please, enjoy. And a reminder not to take ourselves too seriously…
PS: I actually enjoy IKEA, until I reach the 2-hour mark when I’m horribly hungry, dehydrated, and lacking sunlight.

On Self-Importance — a poem by Lorrie Moore
From the Ether
“Unless you have a life of great importance, regrets are stupid, crumpled-up tickets to a circus that has already left town.”
— Lorrie Moore
Speaking of absurd weather, furniture retailers, and not taking ourselves too seriously…
REGRETS
And speaking of regrets… I hope you don’t regret signing up for this newsletter. Indeed, I hope you share this with your friends, family and pets.
