Self Observations — paintings by Anna Coviello
From the Community
Anna is an artist who embodies boldness and spirit. Her work and conversations often have me pause in my tracks and consider what is my ‘authentic’ voice. Authenticity is a word that’s banded around quite undiscerningly nowadays, especially in my professional world as a brand strategist.
I’m seeing that my relationship with my own authenticity is not fixed, but rather like a dance. My emotions, ideas, and even ‘beliefs’ change and morph like the British weather, and they are always ‘real’. Despite my ever-shifting moods, there is one small voice in my belly that is consistent and is my ‘truth’.
As soon as I attempt to bring form and language to this ‘truth’, it is no longer.
But what I can do, is create from this truth, and trust that that expression is seen, heard, and felt. And then create the next thing and the next thing.
So thank you, Anna. For letting your expression be seen, heard, and felt :).

On Survival — a quote by CS Lewis
From the Internet
“Friendship is unnecessary, like philosophy, like art.... It has no survival value; rather it is one of those things which give value to survival.”
