I had the privilege of visiting the Swarez Art studios earlier this year. As it happens, they’re located about 5 minutes away from my home. Seeing the paintings live had be quite present to the very intimate partnership between artist and paint.

Ed’s particular style gives the paint itself a lot of freedom to find its rightful place on the canvas, requiring a presence and attention we might recognise as flow.

Physical objects degrade over time. By contrast, when ideas are recycled they upgrade.

If you’ve nosed around our space for a while, you’ll have seen our claim that human being is inherently creative - we’re always creating something and when we’re not intentional about it we create messes.

Tiago Forte, author of Building a Second Brain talks about taking even the smallest things we create (a process, an email, a text message, a thought) seriously, and start recycling ideas to create meaningful things.
