Castle — poem and illustration by Fati Monteverde
From the Community
Castle
I built. the most beautiful
castle I called home,
only to end up watching
it burn down and crumble
while crying on my knees.
I walked through the ruins of what
once was my identity and found an
unexpected treasure;
my fluid nature!
The energy I needed to
be the spirit I am
and I leave my rigid and
limited self behind.
I discovered a safety outside
holding on to a tiny part of
my universe, a safety in being
who I am in the present moment,
without a script,
without a mask,
without a castle to hide in.

Anti-Rapid: Prompts for a New Kind of Ideation — a free resource from verynice.co
From the Internet
‘Rapid Ideation’ and ‘Fail Fast’ approaches are all the rage in creative industries - and that’s marvellous in my opinion. But at an individual level, there’s much to be said about the ‘slow-burner’ approach.
Give these prompts a try, and let us know what you think.
