Primal Fears — artwork by Karina Geddes
From the Community
I love Karina’s portrayal of animal subjects. She captures their aliveness and essence, so each animal becomes a whole world unto its own.
For more, see her website (in the title above) and/or follow her on Instagram.

April Moon — a poem by Cathy Song
From the Internet
April Moon
The moon tonight is closer to us
than it will be
for the rest of the year,
grace willing, the year
we will remember as the Great Pandemic.
Pulling us closer into its orbit,
shining the light of its fullness into the room,
we turn to hold in our hands
each other’s face as if
for the first time,
and the last—
Pink Moon, Egg Moon, Moon of New Grass.
- Cathy Song
I don’t think it’s any kind of special moon today, but I like the poem so here you are.
I came across this gem on the Poem-a-Day podcast by poets.org. You can listen to the reading below.

QUESTION FOR YOU
What will you create this week? Let us know by tagging us on Twitter or Instagram, or replying to this email :).
Every week I create a short story or essay, and I hope to continue that for a long time. It's not always easy, but putting something of value out into the world hardly ever is. Enjoying three things 👍
